SIMI VALLEY, Calif., January 27, 2015 – Rapattoni Corporation (Rapattoni) announced today that Andy Rapattoni, Chief Executive Officer of Rapattoni Corporation, was named one of the "200 most powerful people in residential real estate in 2014" by Swanepoel Power 200 (SP200). The SP200 is a "research service annually spanning more than 400 hours analyzing over 1,000 individuals in the residential real estate brokerage industry (Swanepoel)."
The SP200 list was compiled by a team that analyzes industry leaders based on "their personal influence, their tenure in the industry, the office the person holds, the decision-making power of their office, the financial resources of the company or organization, the company or organization's significance and contribution to the industry, the company's geographic reach, as well as public announcements about pending changes (Swanepoel)."
Andy Rapattoni started in the industry in 1968 with Realtron, the first computer MLS system in the country. Andy then founded Rapattoni Corporation in 1970 with his wife Niki. His 47 years of experience in providing technology services to the real estate industry has made him highly respected as an industry pioneer and visionary. He was a forerunner of computerized business applications, and he has led Rapattoni to become one of the leaders in real estate association management software, multiple listing service software, and integrated website services. Rapattoni also led the industry in delivering single sign-on and secure two-factor authentication for realtors, offering token-based Secure Logon in 2006, Single Sign-On in 2007, and key-less Adaptive Authentication in 2009.
"Andy has always been a visionary at the forefront of the industry," said Madeleine Talbot, Product Manager and member of the Leadership Team, who has been with Rapattoni 27 years. "In 1993 we sent a video to National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) committee members and over 45 executive officers across the country describing Andy's vision to create a unique member number that stayed with real estate professionals no matter where they moved, and that idea evolved into the NRDS ID number that's now used by all NAR members." Brian Tepfer, Chief Technology Officer at Rapattoni, added, "Andy continues to push Rapattoni Corporation to embrace new standards and technologies. He drove our efforts to bring single sign-on and secure two-factor authentication to real estate associations, and we recently became the first MLS vendor to earn the RESO Data Dictionary Certification by implementing the Data Dictionary 1.3 standard."
"Andy remains an inspiration to Rapattoni staff as evidenced by his new paradigm for association management software and his endorsement of Rapattoni Edge MLS," said Nicholas Hook, President of Rapattoni. He went on to add, "Andy is a warehouse of knowledge and history that is invaluable to our leadership who are directing the future of the company."
Andy Rapattoni commented, "I am honored to once again be included on this prestigious list. As always, I have to thank Niki and all of my staff for making Rapattoni Corporation so successful and bringing my ideas to life."
