Rapattoni Corporation Celebrates 45 Years Serving the Real Estate Industry

SIMI VALLEY, Calif., September 9, 2015 – Rapattoni Corporation (Rapattoni) is pleased to announce that 2015 marks its 45th anniversary serving the real estate industry. With over 200,000 real estate professionals using the Rapattoni MLS, and with its Rapattoni Magic association management software (AMS) being used by real estate associations and MLSs representing 80% of the nation's REALTORS®, Rapattoni has been a leader in software and service for the past four-and-a-half decades. Rapattoni is celebrating its 45th anniversary with an exciting lineup of new products and features to be unveiled in September along with the launch of its revamped corporate website.

Rapattoni continues to deliver powerful solutions that address the industry's evolving needs. The company is now offering a hosting service for its Magic AMS customers and it is currently developing Rapattoni Magic-Cloud AMS as the next generation of its industry-leading association management software. Cloud AMS will deliver a redesigned interface and a wide range of new features, and Rapattoni is scheduled to demo the new AMS system at the Council of Multiple Listing Services (CMLS) Conference in October and at the REALTORS® Conference & Expo in November.

Earlier this year, Rapattoni released the new Edge MLS mobile interface for iOS and Android devices as well as a robust Listing Syndication Manager, both of which were made available for MLS customers at no additional charge. In January of 2015, Rapattoni worked with MetroList® Services, Inc., to become the first MLS to implement the Real Estate Standards Organization (RESO) Data Dictionary 1.3, and in August Rapattoni again partnered with MetroList to become the first MLS to implement the RESO Data Dictionary 1.4 standard, receiving Platinum certification representing the highest level of compliance.

In addition to their AMS and MLS products, Rapattoni offers an Integrated Website Service (IWS) that helps real estate associations quickly launch consumer and member sites with configurable content, along with an IWS Express package that provides inexpensive websites and logon portals for Rapattoni MLS customers. Both IWS solutions include a variety of tools such as calendar components and news bulletins, and both meet the National Association of REALTORS® Core Standards for interactive websites. The company also continues to provide Secure Logon with Adaptive Authentication technology as well as Single Sign-On solutions that facilitate integration with third-party services.

Founded by Andy and Niki Rapattoni in 1970, the company has built a history of providing innovative software designed exclusively for the real estate industry. Rapattoni released its first AMS system in 1970 and the company continued to develop and refine its products through the advent of personal computers over the next two decades. In 1993, Andy Rapattoni campaigned for the industry to create a unique member number that stayed with real estate professionals no matter where they moved, an idea that evolved into the NRDS ID number which is now used by all NAR members. Rapattoni went on to launch the industry's first Internet-based MLS system in 1999. The company also led the industry in delivering single sign-on and secure two-factor authentication for REALTORS®, offering token-based Secure Logon in 2006, Single Sign-On in 2007, and keyless Adaptive Authentication in 2009.
