SIMI VALLEY, Calif., September 17, 2015 – Rapattoni Corporation (Rapattoni) announced today that the company has begun development of its next generation MLS software. The current Rapattoni MLS product is used by approximately 200,000 real estate professionals across the country.
Rapattoni's new MLS will separate the front end user interface from the back end database, offering unparalleled flexibility in meeting the evolving needs of real estate associations and their members. This versatile architecture will allow MLSs to pull listing data from multiple sources and present it in a single interface, enabling the new Rapattoni MLS to integrate seamlessly with Project Upstream, AMP, and other emerging technologies while leveraging industry standards such as the Real Estate Standards Organization (RESO) Data Dictionary.
The new software will also empower customers to configure and customize their MLSs with a fully customizable listing input module, custom displays and reports that are easy to set up, and controls for updating system profiles and feature setup from right within the MLS. It will also feature an intuitive new user interface with a responsive design engineered for touch-based mobile devices as well as desktop PCs and Macs.
Rapattoni launched the real estate industry's first Internet-based MLS system in 1999. The original Rapattoni MLS has received hundreds of upgrades and new features since its release, with recent updates including a responsive mobile interface as well as a robust listing syndication manager that helps associations and brokers take control of their listing data. Native Rapattoni MLS apps for iOS and Android devices are scheduled for release in the coming months with additional enhancements in development for both the desktop MLS and the mobile interface. The current Rapattoni MLS also offers advanced parcel mapping, powerful statistics, and state-of-the-art RETS 1.7.2 servers with RESO Data Dictionary 1.3 certification. The new Rapattoni MLS will continue this long history of innovation as the company takes its MLS product into the future.
Madeleine Talbot-Leighton, MLS Product Manager and 28-year veteran at Rapattoni, said, "Our new MLS will provide the flexibility to work with various players in the real estate industry, integrating data from myriad sources while empowering our customers to make the MLS work the way they want, enforcing their core business rules and bylaws."
Destyn Dagle, Director of MLS & IWS Software at Rapattoni, commented, "The MLS landscape is constantly changing, there are currently some potential game changers on the horizon and we're committed to leading the way with our new MLS software."
"We're looking to the future of the MLS business, anticipating the needs of our customers as well as the industry at large," added Brian Tepfer, Chief Technology Officer at Rapattoni. "Our new MLS is being architected to facilitate integration with a broad spectrum of emerging technologies and we're excited to start demoing it next year."
Chief Executive Officer Niki Rapattoni said, "Rapattoni is taking off with several innovative products. Our new MLS represents another giant leap forward in technology and is already creating a buzz in the industry as reported by Greg Robertson in his recent Vendor Alley article."
