Issue: | My statements and invoices are displaying a string of numbers instead of the bar code. How do I install the bar code font? |
Have you ever printed out your statements/invoices and noticed that the bar code is not showing at the top of the page. In place of the bar code, a string of letters and numbers display? This is a common problem for some Rapattoni Magic users, but it can be easily corrected by adding a few additional fonts to your computer. Follow these steps to install the proper fonts:
- First you must uninstall the previously
installed fonts. Click on the Start button (lower left hand corner).
Next, click on Settings and then Control Panel.
NOTE: If you are using Windows XP, you will click on Start and then Control Panel. - Double click on the Fonts icon.
- Locate and delete the following three fonts (if they exist): 3 of 9 Barcode, OCR A Extended, and USPS Barcode.
- Now click on File and then Install New Font.
- In the box labeled “Drive”, choose the drive letter that Rapattoni is mapped to.
- In the Folders box, navigate to the following folder: Rap\Ver8\install\client\fonts. If you are on Rapattoni Magic Version 7, you will use the following path: Rap\Ver7\install\client\fonts
- After you find the above mentioned fonts folder, the “List of Fonts” folder should auto-populate with the following 3 fonts (same as the original deleted fonts): 3 of 9 Barcode, OCR A Extended, and USPS Barcode.
- Click on the Select All button, and then click on OK.
You should now try to run your statements/invoices again and make sure the bar code is printing properly. If you are still having problems with this process, please feel free to contact Rapattoni Software Support.
