Title: Installing the Bar Code Font
Submitted by: Rapattoni Software Support
Issue: My statements and invoices are displaying a string of numbers instead of the bar code. How do I install the bar code font?

Have you ever printed out your statements/invoices and noticed that the bar code is not showing at the top of the page. In place of the bar code, a string of letters and numbers display? This is a common problem for some Rapattoni Magic users, but it can be easily corrected by adding a few additional fonts to your computer. Follow these steps to install the proper fonts:

  1. First you must uninstall the previously installed fonts. Click on the Start button (lower left hand corner). Next, click on Settings and then Control Panel.
NOTE: If you are using Windows XP, you will click on Start and then Control Panel.
  2. Double click on the Fonts icon.
  3. Locate and delete the following three fonts (if they exist): 3 of 9 Barcode, OCR A Extended, and USPS Barcode.
  4. Now click on File and then Install New Font.
  5. In the box labeled “Drive”, choose the drive letter that Rapattoni is mapped to.
  6. In the Folders box, navigate to the following folder: Rap\Ver8\install\client\fonts. If you are on Rapattoni Magic Version 7, you will use the following path: Rap\Ver7\install\client\fonts
  7. After you find the above mentioned fonts folder, the “List of Fonts” folder should auto-populate with the following 3 fonts (same as the original deleted fonts): 3 of 9 Barcode, OCR A Extended, and USPS Barcode.
  8. Click on the Select All button, and then click on OK.

You should now try to run your statements/invoices again and make sure the bar code is printing properly. If you are still having problems with this process, please feel free to contact Rapattoni Software Support.
